Inspired by the legendary love story of Indian Emperor Shah Jahan and his queen, this exquisite scent was created by the acclaimed Jacques Guerlain in 1925. The emperor built the magnificent Shalimar Gardens to express his love, and this fragrance captures that same passion and opulence.

Shalimar belongs to the Amber Spicy fragrance family, offering a rich and complex olfactory experience. The top notes of bergamot, lemon, mandarin, and rosemary provide a fresh and invigorating opening. As the fragrance unfolds, the heart notes of iris, jasmine, rose, patchouli, and vetiver reveal a captivating floral and earthy blend. Finally, the base notes of vanilla, opoponax, tonka bean, frankincense, sandalwood, musk, civet, ambergris, leather, coumarin, and Peru balsam create a warm and sensual finish that lingers beautifully on the skin.
